Connecting Insurance Startups with Capital, Expertise and Opportunity

PwC InsurStart

Making decision on the move

PwC’s acceleration programme for emerging Insurers, MGAs and nascent risk carriers.

What is InsurStart?

InsurStart is PwC’s new, innovative launchpad for start-up insurance ventures. We’re inviting the brightest emerging underwriters, MGAs and nascent risk carriers to pitch their ideas to a panel of senior PwC leaders and market experts.

Our goal is to identify high-potential start-up insurers that align with PwC’s expertise, ambitions and values. We are looking to partner with insurers where we can work together to succeed to meet the goals of your business. PwC will not seek a capital stake from participants. Instead, we look to build a successful long-term relationship.

Following a competitive pitch process, successful candidates will be invited to join the InsurStart cohort and benefit from a period of targeted support. Entry into the programme will be based on the quality, readiness, and potential of the proposals received.

Why take part?

InsurStart offers privileged access to PwC’s deep insurance expertise across Risk, Actuarial, Consulting, Deals, Tax, and Technology. This is more than an accelerator — it’s a structured opportunity to refine, launch, and scale your venture with the support of a trusted industry sounding board. There for now and your longer-term future.

What you’ll get

Participants selected for the cohort will take part in a tailored programme focused on unlocking key enablers for insurance start-ups. Support will be delivered primarily through expert-led workshops and guidance sessions. The best of PwC thinking will be made available to you from day one in the form of workbooks and other templates so you can work through and further your thinking ahead of these discussions.
