Employees at PwC are looking for support and guidance on energy security and financial wellbeing, and hundreds are using the firm’s internal forums to share useful information and top tips.
The firm has responded by hosting a range of virtual events to help its people to understand the issues affecting them in the cost of living crisis and the practical steps they can take to improve their own financial wellbeing.
With high energy prices likely to be with us for some time, PwC hosted an Energy Saving livestream for all employees, with the firm’s power and utilities leader, Vicky Parker, alongside former PwC employee and founder of the Big Clean Switch Jon Fletcher. The discussion offered a range of practical tips that everyone can start putting into action to reduce energy consumption in homes - whether owned or rented. Employees learned about the changes they can make to reduce carbon emissions and support the firm’s Net Zero commitments, while also helping to manage their energy bills.
As part of Talk Money week [7-11 November], PwC is encouraging everyone to come together to start money conversations in the workplace and beyond. The firm is running virtual events on all aspects of financial wellness from budgeting and planning, property and housing costs to savings and investments.
The firm’s mental health and wellbeing partner, Frog Systems, will also host a Financial Wellbeing livestream where expert panelists will discuss how to build financial health and resilience.
PwC offers a host of financial wellbeing benefits, including a new Money Talks Hub, provided by Close Brothers, where employees can access written materials, on demand and live webinars, useful tools, modellers, and other resources, plus a direct helpline for queries.
As well as supporting financial wellbeing through practical support, PwC has launched a brand new shopping portal, Reward Gateway, enabling its people to easily access great savings with high street retailers.
