The Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee has shared more details of the first stress test to be undertaken relating to cyber incidents. Its update on 5 March 2019 reveals the focus of the stress test will be on the availability of payment services within firms and interdependencies between parts of the system. The Bank will explore the use of impact tolerances and their implications for managing such an incident.
