PwC Social Entrepreneurs Club Awards 2016
Our 2016 awards event took place on 15 November at Brigade, celebrating twelve shortlisted entrants and our three worthy winners, Money A+E, Bristol Braille Technology CIC and Total Reuse CIC.
Social impact category winner:
Money A+E
A social enterprise designing and delivering simple, accessible, independent, and effective money advice and education, working with housing associations, universities, schools, local authorities and charities for disadvantaged groups.
Category shortlist: Bikeworks CIC, Phoenix Health and Wellbeing, Working with Cancer, Money A+E
Environmental impact category winner:
Total Reuse CIC
A social enterprise working to divert reusable items out of the waste stream and away from landfill making them available to low or no income families, charities, community groups and good causes
Category shortlist: Climate Gardens, Green Revolutions CIC, Total Reuse CIC, Community Food Initiatives North East
Innovation category winner:
Bristol Braille Technology CIC
A social enterprise working to help reverse the decline in blind literacy through the development of an affordable Braille e-reader called Canute, designed with and by the blind community.
