Free lesson plans to support your students in developing key skills

At PwC, we’re focused on helping young people to develop their skills and access careers, whether at PwC or beyond, irrespective of their background. That’s why we created this toolkit as a free resource for teachers and careers professionals, with additional guidance now available for parents and carers using the resources at home.

You can choose from a wide selection of lessons that can be easily accessed and downloaded for use with a class or group of students. Topics include technology, financial literacy and wellbeing. Each lesson pack comes with an easy-to-follow lesson plan, a presentation and engaging activities for your students.

Financial Literacy: Work and Money

This session is designed to give students an insight into how money and salaries work.

Financial Literacy: Managing my money

This lesson focuses on budgeting money and exploring the concept of value for money.

Financial literacy: Saving my money

This lesson focuses on saving money and what this means. Students will begin to understand why people save money and the different ways this can be done.

Financial literacy: Where does my money go?

This session is designed to give students an insight into where their money comes from and how it is used. It highlights the different ways money is deducted from salaries and why this is important.

Financial literacy: Protecting my money

This session is designed to give students an insight into the importance of protecting their money. It encourages them to consider the different ways people keep their money safe and the potential risks involved with these.

Wellbeing: Looking after myself

This session is designed to give students an insight into how they can look after themselves, specifically their mental health.

Wellbeing: Understanding stress

This lesson is designed to raise pupil awareness of stress and teaches pupils how to recognise signs of stress in both themselves and others.

Sustainability: Introduction to Sustainability

This lesson focuses on ideas of sustainability, carbon and going circular. By understanding what these ideas are, students will consider their own impact and practical ways they can reduce their carbon emissions.

World of Work: Stereotypes in the workplace

This session is designed to give students an insight into what stereotypes are and how they might influence their career aspirations.

Technology: Computers and Codebreaking

This lesson focuses on how basic computers work, exploring inputs, outputs and functions and how these can be reflected by real-world applications.

Technology: Technology in our lives

This lesson raises awareness of the ever-presence of technology in our daily lives.

Get FREE PwC Certificates for pupils who take part

We would like to recognise pupils who take part in a curriculum and we hope that they will add this achievement to their CVs, personal statement and any job applications. These sessions can be used by pupils to evidence their own personal and professional development.

If you would like to order certificates for your pupils, then please email uk_schools_recruitment@pwc.com stating the curriculum completed, the name and address of school/youth organisation, and your name. Please do not send pupil names for GDPR and safeguarding reasons.

We will store your contact information securely until we have sent you the certificates, after which it will be deleted. However, if you are happy for us to provide information about other schools programmes you may be interested in and are happy be sent a short evaluation form to give us feedback on the curriculum you have used, please indicate this in your email. Pupils can receive a certificate for each curriculum they take part in.
