Thomas is a Partner in the Valuations practice and leads the Energy, Utilities, Mining & Infrastructure valuations team.

Thomas has 15 years experience in providing energy sector specific valuation advice for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, expert opinions, corporate restructuring, and refinancing purposes. Thomas has led valuations work for some of the largest transactions in the mining, power and renewable energy sectors and has provided valuation advice to over 15 infrastructure funds. Thomas has presented on valuation and cost of capital issues on numerous occasions and authored articles on energy sector valuations, including most recently an analysis of market value versus fundamental value in the mining industry.

His valuation experience includes purchase price allocations under IFRS and US GAAP, acting as independent valuer of portfolio investments for infrastructure funds, valuation of commodity contracts and other intangible assets, advising on impairment issues and other fair value exercises for clients across the power, utilities, renewable, oil & gas, mining and infrastructure assets.
