PwC announces 22 new partners outside normal promotion round

PwC UK today announces the appointment of 22 new equity partners, effective from 1 January.

These promotions are in addition to our usual partner promotion round in July, and reflect the strong growth of the firm driven by demand for services including transformation, deals, and ESG.  Partners have been promoted across all of the firm’s business divisions.

Investing in and developing our people is a key element of our strategy. Alongside the partner appointments, there have been record levels of promotions at all levels, and an additional 650 people joining the firm throughout the month.

Kevin Ellis, Chairman and Senior Partner, PwC UK commented:

“I'm delighted we can make these appointments and congratulate each of our talented new partners. The role of leaders has never been more important as organisations grapple with the transformation brought about by the pandemic and other major challenges such as climate change and regional inequality.

“The new partners represent the diverse skills we need to continue to grow sustainably while supporting our clients and people as they respond to these unique challenges and opportunities.”

Notes to editors

  1. Of the 22 newly promoted partners, 41% are women and 14% are from a minority ethnic background. The minority ethnic percentage is a small improvement on our July 21 intake and our proportion of new female partners remains the same. The firm remains committed to creating a more diverse partnership through our five point action plan on inclusion.

  2. 27% of our new partners are based outside of London, as the firm continues to invest in its regional business and reflect its clients and communities across the whole of the UK.

  3. All PwC partners are equity partners.

Ends.
