Women and girls’ empowerment

Creating shared value and benefits for business

At PwC, we are working to promote the empowerment of women and girls.

Through a range of programmes, we are supporting both governments and multinationals to achieve the ambition of improving the health and wealth of societies through empowering women and girls.

It is widely recognised that the economic empowerment of women creates shared value – benefits for society and benefits for business.  This fact has catalysed a proliferation of projects in this area in the last five years.

As a firm we are committed to this agenda.  Dennis Nally, Chairman of PwC has publically endorsed the UN Women’s ‘HeforShe’ initiative.  We publish our gender pay gap and our diversity and inclusion team works hard to increase the opportunities of women within the firm.
